Nunnery Wood FC Annual Tournaments
Nunnery Wood CFC is proud to host one of the largest and most prestigious grassroots football yearly tournaments in Worcestershire.
For over two decades, our summer tournament has brought together thousands of young players, families, and talent scouts. Hosted across the expansive pitches at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College and the University of Worcester, our event is a celebration of community, sportsmanship, and football development.

2027: Looking Forward to the Future
Building directly on the massive success of our integrated format, planning for the 2027 Summer Tournament is already underway.
- Our Goals: Expanding team capacity, introducing new community stalls, and providing an even better experience for grassroots clubs across the Midlands.
2026: The Historic First Integrated Tournament
The year 2026 marked our biggest structural milestone yet. We successfully merged our operations to launch the First Joint Boys’ and Girls’ Tournament.
- Format: A fully unified, action-packed weekend festival held on 30–31 May at Blessed Edwards.
- Innovation: We introduced real-time digital tracking, allowing parents and coaches to follow live fixtures and tables.
2020–2025: Expansion & Adaptation
Through years of shifting challenges, our tournament grew in scale. We regularly hosted over 100 teams per weekend, drew thousands of spectators, and secured consistent coverage in the Worcester News as well as our 2nd girls only tournament.
- Focus: Enhancing pitch quality, safety standards, and team registration processes.
- Impact: Solidified our reputation as a highly organized, scout-attended summer fixture.
2019: The Girls' Football Revolution
In a historic move inspired by the growth of the women’s game, 2019 marked our very first Standalone Girls-Only Six-a-Side Festival.
- Focus: Providing a dedicated, high-energy environment for female players.
- Impact: Hosted age groups from Under-11s to Under-15s, establishing Nunnery Wood as a regional leader in female football pathways.
