At Nunnery Wood FC, Respect is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a positive, safe and inclusive environment where every player, coach, referee, volunteer and supporter feels valued and respected.

Respect for Officials
At Nunnery Wood FC, we recognise that referees and assistant referees are vital to the game. They help ensure matches are safe, fair and enjoyable while developing their skills alongside our players. We expect everyone to treat match officials with courtesy and respect, accept decisions without dissent, and remember that without referees, there is no game.

Young referees are at the start of their officiating journey and deserve patience, encouragement, and respect as they develop their skills and confidence.
By creating a positive environment, we can help young officials thrive while benefiting everyone involved in the game. To support this, Worcestershire FA provides distinctive fluorescent yellow socks to referees under the age of 18.
#SeeTheSocks
Since the 2019/20 season, referees under the age of 18 in Worcestershire have worn fluorescent yellow socks as part of the #SeeTheSocks initiative.
The socks act as a visible reminder that these are young match officials who are still learning. The campaign encourages players, coaches, and spectators to show respect and understanding, helping young referees enjoy the game and continue their development.
