Now that another fantastic tournament has come to a close, we would like to take a moment to reflect on what was an incredible weekend for Nunnery Wood FC.

We are immensely proud to have hosted our tournament for the 22nd consecutive year, welcoming familiar faces alongside many new clubs who joined us for a memorable celebration of grassroots football.

The sun shone throughout the weekend, providing the perfect backdrop for what became our biggest tournament to date. With over 130 teams taking part, including the continued growth of our Girls Tournament, more than 400 matches were played across the weekend, showcasing outstanding talent, enthusiasm and sportsmanship from every player involved.

We were once again delighted to hold the festival at the outstanding facilities of Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College. Our sincere thanks go to Blessed Edward and The King’s School for their continued support in helping us provide such a fantastic venue for youth football in Worcester.

A tournament of this size would not be possible without the dedication of our team of referees. Their professionalism and commitment throughout the weekend ensured the festival ran smoothly, and we thank every official for the important role they played.

Respect continues to be at the heart of grassroots football, and it was wonderful to see players, coaches, parents and spectators embracing The FA’s Respect campaign, creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere across the entire weekend.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors. Their generous support enables us to continue delivering one of the region’s premier grassroots football tournaments while helping to develop the game within our local community.

Finally, our biggest thank you goes to our committee members, volunteers, parents and everyone connected with Nunnery Wood FC. The countless hours of planning, preparation and hard work before, during and after the tournament made this event such a tremendous success. Your dedication is what makes this tournament possible year after year.
