Our School Years 1–3 Development Programme runs across three progressive sessions, designed to support children as they develop their football skills and confidence, leading into our new Nunnery teams.
Sessions take place every Saturday at Blessed Edward’s School Astro, accessed via Evendine Close off Battenhall Road, WR5 2DB, with age-specific time slots:

Year 1: 11:30am – 12:30pm

Year 2: 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Year 3: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Players should wear suitable trainers (no studs) and bring a drink.
No need to book, just turn up and play!
These sessions build on the fundamentals introduced at Reception level, with increasing emphasis on ball mastery, movement, teamwork, and game understanding. As players progress through the three-session pathway, they are prepared for a smooth transition into our advanced age-group sessions and ultimately into our new Nunnery teams.
All coaching is delivered by FA-qualified, enhanced DBS-checked coaches, providing a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. Sessions are led by UEFA B West Bromwich Albion coach John Bateman, ensuring high-quality coaching that challenges and supports every player.
This programme is ideal for children in Years 1–3 who want to develop their football skills while enjoying the game in a fun and structured setting. ⚽
